Back In Belgium
After 3 months in the states we got back to Belgium today. The kids were great. Our first flight from Birmingham to Atlanta was scheduled at 1:15 but when we arrived at the airport we were told that it would be pushed back till 3:30 and our flight from Atlanta to Brussels was schedule for 4:40. The lady tells us and 2 teenage girls going to Stuttgart standing in line next to us that a bus was coming to take us to Atlanta 140 miles(225 kms) away. The bus picks us up at 1:20 and the bus driver says it will take 1 hour and 40 minutes to get there, that was a lie it took 2 hours and 20 minutes. At 3:40 we run and jump off the bus and carry 5 bags (thanks to my wife’s summer shopping) 2 diaper bags a computer bag, 2 strollers and 2 children. We get to the gate and check in and the agent tells us we made the check-in cutoff by 2 minutes. Now we have 40 minutes to get to our gate, good thing in Atlanta they have a special security check-in for people with babies because that is the only way we made it to the gate. By the time we get to the gate, gate check the strollers and put the children in their seats put the bags in the over head bin we were sweaty and tired. I did what any parent would do in that situation would have done I turned on the dvd player and Lina watched : Team Umizoomi, Ni Hao Ki Lan, Dora ,and Rio I love Nickelodeon…
