Recap 2016-2017

My first full season as a coach. My first coaching job was with the team I played on the previous 5 seasons, Houthalen in Top Division 1. So coaching my former teammates was an interesting dynamic. The season before the team made it to the finals but this season we lost 3 starters and with those 3 starters 56 points 19 rebounds 6 assists and 4 steals a game went with them. We finished 15-11 for 5th place and a trip to the playoffs. We were swept in the quarter-finals but a really good season after what we lost. I also coached the “B” team (development team)with all youth players in 4th division and we finished 16-10 for 4th place. With the U21 team we finished 27-4 and for the 3rd year in a row we were National Champions. 3peat

Recap of the 2015-2016 season

My final season as a player my stats for the season were(averages for the regular season): 20.2 points 6.3 rebounds 3 assists 1.3 steals per game. I shot 147-268 54.9% from the field, 38-99 38% from 3, 137-149 91.4% from the free throw line. I was also name League MVP, Import of The Year, and first team all league.

Taking on the number 1 seed a team that swept us in the regular season and only lost 3 games all season we knew we would be in for a difficult series. It was a great series going down to the last seconds of game 3. Game 1 we lost 88-78 I finished with 12 points 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Game 2 we bounced back evening the series at 1 game a piece with a 78-64 win I finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Game 3 was back and forth and unfortunately we lost a nail bitter 77-76 to lose the series. I finished with 29 points 6 rebounds and 3 assists. I officially retired after this game. Its been a great ride I have enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks to my family, coaches, teammates, and fans for a wonderful career on to my next challenge…..
