CLASS-LESS OPPONENT

Our opponent yesterday was Willebroek, the Kangeroes and they are a good team not to be mistaken.  We started off the week by hearing that their president made a racial slur against players on our team so we knew what kind of game this was going to be.  They brought fans with them which during the course of the game were making racial comments.  It’s one thing to cheer for your team and hope your team wins, it’s completely different to make off-base comments about players from the opposing team because your team can’t win.  It got to the point where a couple of their fans sat in the Bree section and one of them got in my wife’s face, tapping on my wife’s shoulder,  complaining about everything trying to start something.  First of all, why would you sit in between fans from the opposing team over your own fans and second cheer for your team not against the other team.  If you can’t win, you can’t win.  You don’t go to the game to start arguments or fights, this is not soccer. Now on to the players, when the game was close they didn’t say anything but once they knew we were going to win  they started making ridiculous comments about how we weren’t first division players (and they never played in first division), that we were soft .  I don’t have a problem with people talking but don’t talk when you hold and try to become physical and then when we got physical you flop and cry like a little baby. After all that went on during the game, some of their fans ran to the tunnel when we were leaving the court and they started screaming stuff at us when we walked by. They started pushing and shoving the stewards, screaming at our coach.  It’s amazing how in first division I had zero problems with fans, zero problems with other players, zero problems with their president,  it was just basketball and now it seems like it’s a personal vendetta against Bree. Before I forget, we won the game 81-76, my stats were 18 points, 3rbs, 3 ass, 2 to and I was an awful 1-10 from 3.  Stop the madness people, clean it up, let’s just play BASKETBALL.
