MINI STAGE /CAMP
This past week we had a mini camp/stage where we played the same team, Ulm out of Germany, 3 times. Tuesday was the first game, always hard playing a team you know nothing about. We played well at times but their depth in the end was too much for us and we lost the first game 86-84. On Wednesday we played them again but this time it was a controlled scrimmage, which means we were going through offensive and defensive situations, each team would get the ball 3 times each before switching. On Thursday final practice game of our pre-season we lost again 79-75 but the way we lost was the worst. It was 59-59 at one point, we turned the ball over 4 times in a row and went six trips without taking a shot. We looked up and the score was 70-59, it was real bad. We looked like a kids’ team throwing the ball all over the gym. We officially start September 14th and I know we are ready, we haven’t won a preseason game but we won’t lose a real game. There you go, I said it.
