On To The Semi-Finals
On Wednesday we played the first leg of a two leg playoff series and we lost 98-89. That’s right, we gave up 98 points. The best defensive team in the league gave up 98 points. To make matters worse, besides giving up 98 points I shot 4-17 (3-15 from 3) so Thursday was not a good day for myself or for the team. At Thursday practice we watched the dvd of the game and you could look at the faces of guys and you knew we were going to cover the 9 point spread. Last night during warm-ups before the game I told Maarten Van Gelder (former teammate of mine from Vilvoorde) “don’t take this butt whipping personal but this game is not going to be close” and the game was never in doubt. We were up 23-12 at the end of the 1st quarter and 42-26 at halftime. We won 90-68, I did much better this game than on Wednesday. Wednesday I had 13 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals, and 1 turnover 4-17 shooting 3-15 from 3. Last night I had 35 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 1 turnover 12-22 shooting 11-15 from3. On to Wargem Wednesday for the semi-finals..
